PETALUMA TECHNOLOGY ADVISORY COMMITTEE CHAIR DYLAN LLOYD RUNNING FOR 1ST DISTRICT PETALUMA CITY COUNCIL SEAT

Petaluma, CA – Local information technology professional and Chair of Petaluma’s Technology Advisory Committee Dylan Lloyd announced today he’s running for the District 1 Petaluma City Council seat in the November 8, 2022 election.

“After a lot of thought, consideration, and reflection on public service to the City of Petaluma as Chair of the Petaluma Technology Advisory Committee for the last six years, I believe I can continue positively contributing to our community in meaningful ways with my expertise in technology and business,” Lloyd said upon announcing his candidacy. “I’m excited to work to advance a brighter future for our city, and look forward to making it an even better place for my wife, kids, and fellow citizens to live.”

Lloyd, a father of two young sons, has used his background in business and technology to advance discussions on broadband in the city while using technology to better inform decisions on infrastructure needs, the city’s budget, and other key issues facing Petaluma today. As a member of the City Council, he will prioritize these and other issues, particularly the need to improve our streets and traffic flow; address housing affordability issues while maintaining growth controls; and dealing with broader issues of drought, water, the environment, homelessness, and public safety.

Dylan, his wife, Kim, and sons: Miles and Harrison, have lived in District 1 on the city’s east side for nearly a decade. The newly-formed 1st District is the only City Council district that encompasses both the east and west sides, stretching from the city limits to the north to central Petaluma to the south.
