Dylan Lloyd is a local information technology professional, husband, father, and Chair of Petaluma’s Technology Advisory Committee who has spent the last several years working towards a more sustainable, innovative Petaluma.
Dylan’s inspiration to serve began after he learned that parts of Petaluma lacked access to broadband internet. With a 20+ year career in IT, he was inspired to serve, securing a City Council appointment to Petaluma’s Technology Advisory Committee. In his six years serving on the committee, Petaluma has collaborated with providers like Sonic, AT&T and Comcast to lay the foundation for broadband internet across Petaluma, progress that is realizing Dylan’s dream of broadband connectivity for every Petaluman. Today, these providers continue investing in broadband infrastructure thanks in part to Dylan’s leadership, infrastructure investments that are becoming more important than ever as remote work and working from home becomes engrained in our community’s fabric more than ever before.
Beyond serving the City of Petaluma as the Technology Advisory Committee’s Chair, Dylan was also involved for many years in his Neighborhood HOA Board, most recently serving as its Vice President before leaving the HOA to focus on his campaign for Petaluma City Council, District 1.
Dylan graduated from Chico State University with a B.A. in Communication Design and Media Arts. He and his wife, Kim, a public school teacher at Two Rock Union Elementary, are raising twin boys: Miles and Harrison, both of whom attend Meadow School.
